The mission of this Christian-based scouting organization is to build women of integrity through service to God, family, community and country. The nonprofit national organization offers badge progams, service projects, girl leadership opportunities and outdoor experiences.
Our troop traditionally serves lunch at our Fall Bazaar and Bake Sale, prepares and places the luminaria outside church for the Feast of the Immaculate Conception (pictured above), participates in Wreaths Across America. Troop VA0128 has also hosted the National AHG Jamboree for several years in a row!
In mid-October our Troop provided support for the Saturday evening Mass at Camporee 2023. Father Phillip Cozzi, St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church Parochial Vicar, celebrated Mass (and enjoyed S'Mores with the girls afterward)! Several older members of the Troop had the opportunity to meet and be photographed with the founder of American Heritage Girls, PATTY GARABAY (third from left in photo at right).
The girls provided lunch service for the St. Mary CCW Fall Bazaar and Bake Sale and will set up the luminaria about the church grounds for the evening Masses of the Feast of the Immaculate Conception in December. Our troop stays busy!
