On Tuesday, August 2 at the Father Rooney Room and in the presence of the proud O'Connor family, PRESIDENT ADELE FALARDEAU presented MARIA C. O'CONNOR with a check toward tuition at St. John Paul the Great High School. Maria's application for the St. Mary CCW Scholarship, including a personal essay about her own Catholicism, was judged "blindly" by CCW volunteers and was found to be outstanding.
For the first time, St. Mary CCW was able to award a second Scholarship to Saint John Paul the Great High School. Same qualifications and requirements, same selection process. Same flavor (?) celebration cake! This time, to HELENA FRY. The award was presented on August 21.
